Wendy Tarr ~ BACP Registered Counsellor

Wendy Tarr ~ BACP Registered Counsellor

Recovery and healing of any kind can only happen with support that is gentle and considered. True care, whether for our physical, mental or emotional wellbeing will always respect this.

Long before I qualified as a Counsellor I trained with the Samaritans and learned very early on that when someone is in turmoil, a calm, compassionate, reliable presence is a fundamental need. This is still the foundation on which I offer my professional service.
Now an established Counsellor, my training along with years of experience has enabled me to build a practice that helps people to create lasting change in their lives, and find the peace they desire, in a way that feels safe and supportive.
The experience I bring from a range of health and care settings enables me to provide a service that is both compassionate and knowledgeable. I've worked as a Counsellor for MIND a mental health charity, at a hospice and bereavement centre and also within a GP surgery supporting patients and the wider community.
I offer one-to-one counselling for adults on both a long term and time limited basis.
